DOCX and PDF files handle layout differently. Simple tables, common fonts, normal margins, and unlocked documents convert more predictably than files with unusual fonts, scanned pages, floating text boxes, or password protection.
Some document conversions require server-side processing because browsers cannot reliably transform every format. When server processing is used, temporary files are limited to the requested conversion workflow and covered by the purge routine.
